We offer many products for many applications. Each application has its own requirements that need to be satisfied by the chosen material. Here are just a few of the applications that we can help with:
CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) phosphors coat the screens of CRT displays. They are excited by an electron beam generated within the CRT and emit visible light in the desired image.
FED phosphors are designed for excitation by the low voltage electrons employed in field emission devices.
PDP phosphors are used to coat the screens in flat panel plasma displays. They are excited by the vacuum UV employed by PDPs.
X-ray phosphors are designed to convert x-rays to visible light. The visible light can then be picked up by photographic film or a CCD to produce the desired x-ray image.
Incorporated into printing inks or dispersed in plastics. The ink or plastic is used to mark articles as genuine. Used to frustrate the activities of forgers and counterfeiters.
Infrared laser pens and hand-held detectors. They detector the presence of specific materials used to counter the counterfeiters!
Used in the detection of alpha, beta and gamma radiation by converting the energy into visible light.
Laser detection phosphors are used to detect the presence of laser light in the infrared region by converting the light to visible.
LED phosphors are combined with highly efficient blue or UV LEDs to produce white emitting LEDs for various lighting applications.
We are proud to be the largest independent manufacturer of a range phosphors used in dental ceramics.
Temperature measurements using the luminescent properties of materials is an area of active research.
